If you have ordered the text/workbook, or intend to do so soon, you may download these Lesson Plans now and begin to prepare your course (while you wait for the components to arrive). Click here for more details.
The manual (binder, with durable tabs) is available for purchase ($69.95). The 450 page binder also includes a free CD-ROM and a 550-slide slideshow. You will need to obtain a password separately. Click here for more details.
Free Section Tests are available for downloading (about 70 pages in all). These are intended as "quick tests" for use at the end of class or as short homework assignments. Click here for details.
Free, on-line quizzes are available to schools using the Student Workbook/Lab Manual. Students can take these on-line quizzes whenever they like and as often as they like. The quizzes are automatically graded, with answers and explanations. Click here for more details.
Teachers can build their own multiple-choice tests using the same database of questions used for the on-line student quizzes. The Test Builder allows the teacher to create a multiple choice test on-line following the chapter structure of the textbook and workbook. This test can be saved in MS Word or another editing program.
Students will find the new “On-line Bell Ringer” helpful in learning the key muscles and bones it will also free up the teacher to spend more time on broader themes in exercise physiology. Like the On-line Quizzes, students can practice with the On-line Bell Ringer as often as the like and whenever they like (and in their own time!). The On-line Bell Ringer will be available mid-February 2005 for use by schools ordering the Student Workbook next term.
This is only the beginning of our program of classroom support materials for Exercise Science.
